Jessenia Mia Prado

Jessenia Mia Prado (she/her) is a proud South Chicagoan and multidisciplinary artist, pursuing a degree in studio art and art history, with a minor in race and ethnic studies at St. Olaf College. Prado recently curated her first show of student artwork through St. Olaf's art magazine, The Quarry. She is based in the South Chicago and Pilsen neighborhoods of Chicago. As a Mexican film photographer and graphic novelist, she takes pride in her community and represents them through her art practice.  After graduation, Prado plans to enter the design or museum industry. Outside of school, Prado loves to create earrings, try new restaurants in Chicago, and dance her heart out at concerts of her favorite artists.
