Pan dulce, or sweet bread, is a special part of my life. As a symbol of love, I eat pan dulce with my friends, family, and loved ones. As a homesick student who does not have access to pan dulce or my Chicago community regularly, this is an act of homage. I do not know how to make pan dulce myself, but I felt the tediousness of baking bread from scratch through the ways my finger folded the paper.
